Last updated: 1 March 2025
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Public IQ platform ("the Service") operated by DOMATO AI PTY LTD (ABN 94 695 794 346) ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Public IQ is a data aggregation and visualisation platform. It collects publicly available data from Australian government agencies and presents it through interactive dashboards, maps, and search tools. Public IQ does not generate original data — all data is sourced from the agencies listed on the platform.
3. Data Accuracy
While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, all data displayed on Public IQ is sourced from third-party government agencies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data. Users should verify critical data against the original source before making decisions based on it.
Data sources include but are not limited to: the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Crime Statistics Agency Victoria (CSA), Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research NSW (BOCSAR), Queensland Police Service (QPS), and Western Australia Police Force (WAPF).
4. Intellectual Property
The platform design, code, branding, and original content are the property of DOMATO AI PTY LTD. Government data displayed on the platform is generally available under Creative Commons BY 4.0 or similar open licences as specified by the originating agency.
You may use data obtained from the Service in accordance with the licence terms of the original data source. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the platform itself without our written permission.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data beyond reasonable use
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Misrepresent the source or accuracy of data obtained from the Service
6. Natural Language Query
The natural language query feature ("Ask") uses AI to generate database queries from your questions. Results are generated automatically and may not always be accurate or complete. Always verify important findings through other means.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, DOMATO AI PTY LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes but is not limited to damages arising from data inaccuracies, service interruptions, or reliance on information obtained through the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Australian Consumer Law.
8. Availability
We strive to maintain the Service's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
9. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
10. Governing Law
